Naked on the Net

Naked on the NetSo you want to post some pictures of yourself on the Internet wearing nothing but what nature gave you? It’s a bold move to be sure but you had better know what you’re doing before you hit the upload button. Many people are open about their bodies but you should keep a few things in mind before you strike your pose.

You need to consider a worst-case scenario before you send naked pictures of yourself over the Internet. First off, anything that goes online can be copied. This means that people can grab your photo as it appears on a dating site and keep it stored on their computer even if the site promises you can’t. Also, any live video cam stream is also in danger of being recorded. You should be completely okay with this if you plan on considering being naked on the Net. If you’re okay with this, then you should consider who could find you. Would you care if your family or friends found you spread for the world to see? Would X-rated images put you in danger of losing your job or finding one down the road? There are many situations in which an explicit display of your wares could land you in hot water so take them into consideration before your skinny dip.

“Your privacy is one of the most personal things you have control over and you are giving that up when you take it off for the camera.”

Naked dating pictures say a lot about who you are and what you’re looking for. If you’re on an adult sex-dating site, what you’re after is pretty obvious. However, they speak volumes on regular dating sites. I know many people, both male and female, who have taken it off online and/or encountered others who have. The women I’ve spoken to generally complain about getting emailed photos of parts of the male anatomy while men, although perhaps a little shocked, seem okay with x-rated material. Taking nude pictures of yourself says that you’re open about your body and sharing it with the world. This won’t bother some people but others will be turned off instantly. Are you willing to cut off some possible good connections by exposing yourself?

There are positive sides to having some x-rated photos available. First off, for many, sex is prime reason for surfing dating sites. Posting naked pictures of yourself online is certainly one way of narrowing your search options to those who are also of the same mindset. Also, nobody will ever complain that you’re hiding your figure behind a bunch of clothes. Those are certainly the big benefits of going nude and hopefully enough to make you sure that it’s something you want to do.

Posting naked pictures is dangerous and not recommended for the average individual looking for love online. But if it’s something you're bent on doing, go cautiously. Your privacy is one of the most personal things you have control over and you are giving that up when you take it off for the camera.
