Prepping Your Home for Her

By: Jenn Malko

Women have special needs around your home. The sooner you get tuned into them, the happier they’ll be! Eventually your relationship will be ready for the next big step. That means to need to have your pad prepped and ready to receive. Rolling out the red carpet takes a little thought and energy, but we’ve done the hard part for you. Ensure you stay in her good books by prepping the bedroom and bathroom with her in mind.

The Washroom

Linens: This is the fancy way to say “plenty of towels.” The ones you use daily probably won’t cut it. We’re not saying you need to buy some luxurious, floral print towels. Just make sure you have a clean face, hand and bath towel at the ready.

Toothbrush: Yep, women are into clean teeth. This is something you’ll appreciate just as much as they do. Again, it doesn’t have to be the super-duper gold plated toothbrush you’re used to using. Just make sure you keep it sealed in its packaging because you wouldn’t want them to think that it’s the same one you use to clean the cats teeth.

Soap: Women like to be pampered and who are we to stand in their way? They tend to have special needs like special face soap and fragrant shampoo and conditioner. You can use whatever you want when you’re at home, but it’s a good idea to have some nice bottles to pull out if you’re expecting a female friend.

Deodorant: Sometimes stays aren’t planned as well as they could be. If your date hasn’t brought her overnight bag, having something for her in this department is a good idea. Your local drug store usually has travel sizes for life’s necessities. Just make sure to stay away from “Old Spice” and grab something feminine.

Air freshener: Despite the fact that they’re usually inside these days, bathrooms need to smell less like a can and more like a meadow. The call of nature is something none of us can ignore so keeping some spray within striking distance will ensure that if the worst happens, at least they’ll feel comfortable covering their tracks.

Napkins: Nope, we’re not talking about useful picnic papers. We’re talking about the type that’s only used by women a few special days of the month. Put a few aside and it can save the day in special situations.

The Bedroom

Clothing: She’ll probably have her own when she arrives, but in case she loses items during her stay, you may want to make sure you’ve got her “situation” covered. You don’t have to pick up a pair of matching tops and bottoms. Just make sure you have something clean and comfortable that you can see her in that doesn’t make her look like your dorm mate from college.

Love gloves: This should go without saying. Condoms are key and could make the difference if you get lucky in lust.

Better relationships are built with comfort so go out of your way to provide it. Don’t go over the top and make it look like your pad is a pit stop for any and every princess. Be subtle. The preparation and delivery should be low key. Make sure her needs are met and great times are bound to follow!
