Lavalife Launches with Skype
Is it something new or a rehash of what we’ve seen before? That’s what I’m left asking after hearing that Lavalife has launched a singles chat room based around Skype, the free Internet chat client.

Online Dating Kiss of Death
Have you ever wondered if your enthusiasm for online dating was perhaps the kiss of death for a relationship? I have. Having been online four almost half a decade, I’ve leaned the ins and outs of the dating game. I have a pretty good sense of how a profile should look and feel and what needs to be done to maximize my overall return. Part of the process requires you to log in frequently.

Return To The Dating Site
Well, it looks like it’s another manic Monday. I have no idea what happened to my Sunday but it certainly wasn’t spent trolling dating sites and hooking up meetings with prospects.

Sheen On MillionaireMatch.com
You have to love Charlie Sheen. Even after all of it, the drinking, drugs, the prostitutes, battery charges and failed engagements and marriages, he still manages to be a lovable guy. The question is, who the heck would want to marry him after all that? I wouldn’t. However, I’m probably in the minority. But as it turns out, he certainly has no problems finding dates.

Jump for Love
If you knew that you could meet the love of your life tomorrow if you wanted to, would you? I think it’s an interesting question. I don’t know if I would have at certain stages in my life. I had too many things I wanted to do and too much on the go to sustain anything healthy. Meeting that one special person during those times would have most certainly left me with a grand “one that got away” story.

Can I Call You?
Instant messenger kills me. I’ve met a number of people online and it’s always interesting when they’re so stoked to get on to messenger. I have a problem with instant messaging in that I find it’s a sub-standard way to communicate when you’re meeting local people. It takes longer to type, you can’t express emotions and if you’re sarcastic, watch out!

Match.com - WTF?!?
How the heck did Match.com ever get so popular. I was reading some of the terms today but they really dance around the issue of whether or not you can reply to member’s emails. I’m thinking you must be able to but it just doesn’t come out and say it.

Love and Death
I know a guy who drove drunk on the weekend, got into a car accident, killed some people, has a friend who may die still and is in rough shape himself. He was living a lifestyle that was right on the edge. He was selling large amounts of major drugs, partying non-stop and living a life he couldn’t control. Now he’s lying in some hospital bed after the medics had to push his intestines back into him. So what does this have to do on a blog about dating?

New Ebony Friends
Well, it happened again. Another dating site seems to have switched horses in midstream, jumping from one domain to the next. I just finished switching Christian Mingle after they decided to drop their domain in favor of Relationships.com. Now it seems like Ebony Connect has decided to roll over to EbonyFriends.com.

Match.com Profile Protection
There’s a lot to do these days about a New York state police officer accused of hacking into his ex-girlfriends Match.com profile. He had met the girl online but she had ended the relationship after deciding to return to an ex.
