No Interest Here
This past weekend was Pride here in Toronto. Needless to say, it was off the hook! The streets were packed yesterday and, as can happen, you start bumping into people you know. I was on the dance floor at this bar, hanging with some friends and dancing up a storm when I suddenly turned into the face of someone who I knew.

Gay Dating on Pride Weekend
Do you have any idea what day it is? I know you’re all scratching your heads and wondering, or coming up with answers that although good, probably aren’t what I had in mind--unless you live in Toronto and happen to be gay. For the record, I’m as straight as the arrow soars, but this is my favorite party weekend of the year. There are two party days I don’t miss: New Years and Pride Parade Sunday.

Italian Personals and Me
I was out having a quiet dinner the other night by myself. I like to do it every so often. There’s a nice Italian restaurant just down the road that makes fantastic food for a great price. Their portions are so big, I get two meals from one! It’s a great little spot to take dates for some pizza, pasta or veal parmesan. But as I was sitting there the other evening, it became strangely clear how attractive women from the boot really are. They have dark skin, gorgeous hair and some even come with a great accent! It is times like that when I wish I could belong to any and every dating site. In this case, there are a bunch of Italian dating sites that fit the bill. I mean, it’s just as easy to go to any general dating site and sort through the masses by nationality, but you may not get the focus you’re really looking for. In the meantime, I think I’ll just sit back and enjoy the view. Mama mia! this summer is getting off to a hot start!

No Dating News
I get news alerts for various dating industry search terms delivered to my mailbox. I use them to update the dating news section on Cupids Dating Site Reviews. I have all kinds of terms I watch, including online dating, match.com, dating site and a slew of others. When the site first started, there seemed to be an endless amount of information. Everyone wanted to know about online dating and the media were only too willing to pump out piece after piece to feed the need.

Naughty America's Sex Dating Game
I remember when my first thoughts of digital communication merged with the wonders of online gaming. The possibilities quickly sprang to life in my imagination. Dating sites with streaming video of the people that are on them . . . virtual worlds . . . endless possibilities! Although there have been attempts to bridge the divide, technology hasn’t come close to realizing the 3D dreams forecast in years gone by. What has emerged are a number of sex dating sites and even the odd video game that focuses on the area of advanced online communication.

Watching My Words
Have you ever written something insignificant to someone over email or instant messaging and then WHAMO! they write something back tearing you a new hole where none belongs? I had that happen to me today. Mind you, I called her something that she felt offensive, but to me, it wasn’t offensive at all. The written word used to be something that I used to put on a pedestal.

WealthyMen.com Lies
I don’t know if any of you have been over to our dating chat forum, but we had a couple of interesting posts recently. Every so often, a marketing person happens by and spasm the forum. We’ve kept some of the posts up, thinking they may be back to post again, but they never do come back. Recently, we had such a marketer come by and post about how great a site WealthyMen.com was. You can always tell marketing text – it’s that glowing recommendation that pops out of nowhere. Anyway, I saw it and decided to leave it up.

IM: Do Not Disturb
I always find it funny when dating sites have instant messaging as one of their features. It seems like such an intrusion. Sure, it’s great if you’re undiscerning. The more contacts you can make the merrier, right? However, I think that for anyone who really cares about who they date would find this a pain.

A Shot at Match.com
I finally went and did it. I posted my picture and profile on Match.com. I had to give it a shot, especially considering the business I’m in. Match has to be one of the most popular dating sites on the planet, if not the absolute pinnacle of dating sites. I’ve always stayed away because of one main reason: you have to pay to receive emails. This is so far behind the times when it comes to dating sites that I fear it will end up being their downfall.
