Inbox: Penis Pictures!
What is it with guys sending pics of their genitals to women on dating sites? Now I've seen my share of penis pics, but only while reviewing sex dating sites and gay dating sites. I don’t know if there’s a single girl who I’ve spoken to who hasn’t gotten some special deliveries in their mailbox at some point in time. It’s so rampant that I’m starting to feel I’m missing out on something…

Change - Dating While Waiting for Motivation
I read the headline of a personal ad that said - Waiting for my new life to begin. I filed that person under 'codependent loser' but realized I react most strongly to other people's mistakes when they ring truest with my own. I shouldn't be throwing stones from inside my glass house.

A Couple Moves
There seems to be a lot of joy involved in buying a new home. I saw that this weekend. I blogged before about my friend who just purchased a new home with his girlfriend. This past weekend, I helped them move in. I haven't spent much time with the two of them before -- and it was a real eye opener.

Sex Your Home
There seems to be a lot of people buying homes with friends because they haven’t found the right person to make a life with. On the other hand, I have a good buddy who seems to have found the right person to be with – heck, they’ve been together for almost a year! They’ve decided to get a house together, because that’s what grownups do. They’re moving in this weekend, actually, and I’m helping. There's a lot of excitement in the air. It's intense spending that kind of money. All that adrenilin means one thing: sex!

I Love the Freaks and the Freaks Love Me
I seem to attract the mentally unstable. The last person I dated was a textbook example of classic narcissist. It was someone who wasn't looking to have some things in common but everything exactly the same between us. Compliments, criticisms and even harsh judgments, in retrospect all came from one perspective, how I was in relation to this other's ego.

A Love That Lasts
I received the following letter today from a friend. I thought it was appropriate to post, so here’s a take on love that lasts.
Did you ever wonder what makes the love last? And, I mean, past that stage when you are inexplicably drawn to each other, past the constant grin on your face, butterflies nudging each other in your stomach, the time when even the slightest touch of the finger on your skin makes all the little hairs on the back of your neck to stand up straight. I am talking about settled love, the time when love means going to the Home Depot together to buy a trashcan.

Breaking Someone Up
It’s official. I want to break a couple up. Now, it’s not for the reasons you may think. I haven’t fallen in love with someone and am now gunning to get them to split. On the contrary, I love this couple. They’re so good together, it hurts. But their time has passed and they’re both ready to go their separate ways – but they don’t.

Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson Divorce
Boooooo! Another couple bites the dust. This time it’s a breakup for actress Kate Hudson and music man Chris Robinson. They’d been together for six years. They had a solid act to follow in Kate’s Mom, Goldie Hawn, who has had a strong, 23-year relationship with Kurt Russell. They weren’t your typical Hollywood pairing. All seemed so good! Ah, the view from the outside is beautiful!

Serial Monogamists Kill Love
Same-sex marriage is a controversial issue but whether someone thinks that it's a good idea or not, personally I believe it has little to do with the further disintegration of the institution of marriage. I think what has had more of an effect on long-term unions, legal or unofficial ones, has been the swelling trend of serial monogamy.

Catching a Date with Online Personals
It’s funny. I go through the news items looking for dating material, and it never ceases to amaze me how many articles are written on a weekly basis by writers about this new wonder called online dating. It seems like madness!

Carmen and Dave Divorce!
There was something so morbidly romantic about Dave Navarro and Carmen Elecktra’s marriage. It wasn’t the usual mainstream love you see played out in front of the cameras, such as with Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson or Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Dave and Carmen were dark, edgy and dangerous. They seemed to be a perfect match. Both live high-profile lives, love hardcore parties and can handle their share of eroticism. Their MTV reality show, ‘Till Death Do Us Part,” was a watershed in that it showed that love wasn’t only for the pure – that weddings can be as much about style as about traditional beliefs. Heck, it’s what I want my wedding to be like, except I want elephants at mine – only because I think they’ll be less trouble than an army of monkeys. But all that seemed so full of hope and promise only years before has now shattered.

Gimme A Love Gadget!
Have you heard about those machines you can get that tell you when you’re in close proximity to another single person who is also armed with a similar device? I heard about these years ago. Someone said they were very popular in Japan, although I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one. However, that doesn’t stop me from wanting one. I think they’re a great idea. GPS for single people! I just wonder how that would work.

Spyware and your Spouse
I was having an interesting conversation today with a friend. One of his friends is well on the road to getting married. Her and her fiancée have been dating for years. There was an incident a few years back when she caught him exchanging emails with a special woman, but they had a talk and cleared that up. More recently she found his computer had tracks from porn sites.

How Not to Break Up with Someone
I recently was dumped, which is a good thing, considering it needed to end. Nevertheless, it ended in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. I feel somewhat compelled based on the experience to suggest how things might have been handled better.

Hot Summer Dates
Has it been hot out this summer, or what! WOW! I thought last summer was bad. I had moved into my apartment the Fall before and it barely seemed like Spring had arrived before I had to run and grab and AC unit. This summer snuck in. It didn’t seem as hot as last year – then BOOM! I’m scared to even head outdoors. The second I do, I’m a sticky mess. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the difference between dry heat and humid heat. It soaks! I mean it sucks! Now imagine that you wanted to actually have a date with someone you’ve never met before. It may be a short 15 minute walk down the street.

Online Dating in Canada
I’m from Canada and began online dating here in about five years ago. I was at a friends place with some buddies. I was recently single and they were talking about this site called CasualKiss that had a lot of people from the area on it. I was curious. They’d actually been on some dates and had good experiences. That was my first taste of online dating in Canada and it wouldn’t end there.

Can Two Solitudes Unite?
I grew up in a small town in a part of Canada where people mostly spoke English. Nevertheless, at any early age, I fell in love with my country's second official language of French, despite being unable to use it in my hometown.
