A Blind Date With A Cute Deaf Girl
I'm not much of a fan of blind dates, so when my sister paired me up with one of her friends I was very reluctant. However, since she has a way of tugging at my heart strings, I finally gave in and agreed. After giving me the girl's name, which is Karen, and the place where we're supposed to meet up, she hurriedly left but paused at the door for a moment. She said something I couldn't really understand, but it sounded something like 'deaf dating, which didn't make much sense to me at the time. It never occurred to me that my sister was setting me up with her cute deaf girl friend.
Upon reaching our meeting place, I wasn't really sure what to expect because my sister didn't give a lot of details, but she knows my taste in women, so I figured I wouldn't be disappointed. The girl I met was really hot and I was so struck by her that I didn't notice she brought someone along with her. My sister didn't mention anything about a double date and the next thought that entered my mind was 'Great! A chaperone.' Here I am out on a supervised blind date my sister has arranged for me. I guess Karen noticed the confused look on my face because she nodded to her companion, who started to explain about her disability and the need for her to be there as an interpreter.
I guess that explains quite a lot and so my hot hot date with this cute deaf girl begins. It's really nothing out of the ordinary aside from the fact that this beautiful deaf babe communicates with her hands and her words are coming from her friend. It's just like talking to a foreigner through an interpreter. It needs some getting used to, but after a while you get used to it much like watching a foreign language film with English subtitles.
Karen, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have any difficulties understanding what I'm saying because apparently she has learned to read lips, which I thought was a pretty cool thing. I also found out she's working in a day care center for disabled children and is currently taking up her masters in child psychology. I was thoroughly impressed by this cute deaf girl and we talked about a lot of interesting things that the hours just flew by and the time came for me to take both of them home.
I was hoping my sister would set me up with a date with Karen again, but I heard she has left for London on a scholarship. It was kind of disappointing, but I'm still thankful that I got to meet this amazing girl.
