A Lock & Key Weekend
A friend of mine went to a Lock and Key party this weekend. When I heard she was going, I nearly fell off my chair! I thought those came and went with the 70’s. Apparently they’ve resurfaced but with a slightly different approach. Gone are the days when you found your key in someone’s lock and then took him or her upstairs for carnal pleasures. That has been replaced with a more civilized take. This weekend, for example, it was done at an art gallery in Toronto.
The room was packed full of 20 and 30 year olds. The decor was ultra spiffy and the atmosphere electric. It didn’t take long for people to begin rounding on one another and locks to start popping. Add a little bit of liquor to the mix and you have a swinging party – without the swinging! The moral of the story is that although online dating can be fun, there are other avenues open to singles. If you’re serious about finding the right one, grab a key and twist. You just never know what your efforts may unlock!
