We got a room overlooking the Falls. It has two luxurious queen beds, a fireplace, a sitting area and a casino attached to the hotel. We’re heading down this afternoon to beat the traffic – if that’s at all possible. We plan on checking in, maybe hitting the gym/spa, grabbing a bite to eat and then heading out on the town. We’ve decided to “suit up” so that we look our finest. After all, it’s not very often we get to do something like this. Actually, I think it’s our first time ever! There were a lot more people supposed to go with us, but as always happens, they’ve bailed at the last moment. It’s no major loss. As a matter of fact, their decision not to come will probably make the trip more enjoyable in some weird way. Anyway, after we hit the town, we’ll probably come back and wander the casino until the wee hours of the morning. After we hit the sack and wake up, we’ll grab some breakfast then stop at a couple of wineries on the way home to Toronto. If I didn’t know any better, I would think this was a romantic getaway for two for a couple of non-hetero boys. Let’s just hope the rest of the people we meet at the Falls don’t happen to think the same thing….
