In my experience with people, it's the full-figured women who have difficulties when it comes to dating. Truth is even though a lot of women have been standing up to promote positive body images, a whole lot of men are still looking to have a sexy and fit girlfriend. Although most of the fashion industry has already taken notice of the full-figured look, the dating scene is slow to adapt. Even the men with wide waistlines are looking for a thin mate, so it's really hard for plus-sized girls to get a hot date. Let's face it, BBW beauty is not everybody's cup of tea and almost everyone is hoping to snap up a thin and sexy honey.

What is sexy anyway? A lot of people think a sexy woman's image is either thin like Kate Moss or luscious and curvy like Bar Refaeli. If you don't fit in their clothes, then you're not sexy. In reality, the dictionary defines sexy as sexually interesting or exciting. Sexy also means excitingly appealing and glamorous. Full-figured women can inspire lust too and sadly the majority thinks BBW is neither sexually interesting nor glamorous. Take a look at Beth Ditto, Whitney Thompson and Queen Latifah. I find them sexy, not just because of their beautiful looks, but also because of how they project confidence no matter what the rest of the world thinks. A British GQ editor once called Ditto a "porker" and I can still read some nasty posts against Thompson when she won the tenth cycle of America's Next Top Model. These three women are big and some people may describe them as fat, yet they possess a positive outlook on life, which makes them very appealing and very sexy. If you're a full-figured woman who thinks she is beautiful no matter what, then I salute you. If you don't, then you need to get there. It's true that it's a little hard to get some action when you're bigger, but it gets easier if you project confidence and start thinking you're phat instead of fat. Remember, you have the look of the season and that look will remain for a few more seasons if you let it.
