Catching the Sun
Caught this quote on Cupids today . . .
“To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.”
What a great image! I can almost feel the warmth again! Sometimes words have such a great way of evoking feelings that sink straight to the heart. This quote did it for me. It was by David Viscott, and although I have no idea who he is, I know for a fact that he speaks the truth. It’s been a good while since I felt sun on both sides like that. How long has it been for you?

In that sense? Far too long... Sometimes I feel like I am capable of letting people in, but once I get to a certain point, that fear of getting hurt seeps back in, the walls go back up, and that infamous nervous laugh of mine returns. It's a difficult fight. You can't feel the sun from both sides if you stay in the shade I guess.
