Dating A Sweet Christian Girl

Dating A Sweet ChristianIf you're looking to date a sweet Christian girl, then a really great place to start your search for that extra-special someone is to check out a Christian dating site so you can meet like-minded singles.

I found out the hard way that it's important to choose how you date carefully. Personally, I think it's important to ensure that there are enough differences between you and the person you're involved with so that you keep challenging each other and both of you grow as a result. That said, you've still got to have some common ground to come home to once in a while.

I dated a really sweet Chrisitan girl once a long time ago. We were together for a quite a while and, for the most part, we got along pretty well. We enjoyed a lot of the same things and we cared about each other a lot, but in the end it just wasn't enough.

One thing that, looking back, I find very interesting is that we also had a lot of very different political views but this didn't really cause many problems. Sure, we were pig-headed and we'd argue passionately about stuff, but at the end of the day, even with very different political positions, we both wanted the same things on that front: for people to be able to live well.

The same is probably true on the religious front in the sense that we're all just trying to understand our place in things and learning to find meaning and significance in our lives. The difference is that the way you ask questions about the world really determines what kind of answers you can accept. If you start from the assumption that there is a god, you're starting from the assumption that there is already some kind of significance invested in the world. If you don't believe in deities, you're conceiving of a world in which finding meaning isn't a given but, rather, something that has to be constructed. It makes it impossible to think of certain things the same way and, as it turned out, it forced us to choose very different lives that weren't compatible.

At the end of the day, being with a Christian angel just doesn't work out so well if you can't actually believe in angels. I'm sure there are a lot of romance stories between people with different beliefs that work out a lot better (our relationship was even pretty good, we're still friends years later), but it might be nice for some people to start out a relationship knowing they have this particular thing in common.
