Dating Chat Forum From Hell!
Today I went on to one of the dating chat boards around the
net – another one beyond Cupids
Dating Chat Forum. As is usual, when I join a chat board I start by building
my profile. I add a picture, set my time zone, and enter some personal details
such as my location and job description. I also add a signature with a quote,
my ICQ and a link to my site – in this case, Cupids. Little did I know
– this was baaaaaad!
After about an hour of posting in various discussions, I was feeling pretty good. There was a thread on cheating or breaking up or something rather down and went to post, only to find myself blocked! When I went to view my previous posts, I noticed that my signature had been removed. Now I read the rules when I signed up and they failed to mention anything about limits to signatures. So why did they ban me for it without any word why?
I have been on many chat boards in the past, and although they were in a slightly different industry, signatures were fine – and expected. I even ran a chat board where it was fine. Anyone from any other company that did the same things we did were encouraged to post with their signatures. It was just good business.
Anyway, I don’t like getting banned for crappy reasons
so I hope to bump into these goofs at a trade show in the near future. I have
some choice words and none of them are “I LOVE YOUR BOARD”!
