Gay Singles Need Not Worry
I was having a cup of coffee the other day and I can't help but overhear the conversation going on at the next table. It was just some mundane blabbering but what really caught my attention was a prejudicial comment about how can the gay population keeps on growing, even though gay men don't give birth. You and I both know you don't have to be gay to have gay kids. Nevertheless, it got me to thinking about the experience of gay singles looking for love online and the proliferation of gay dating sites.
Much of my knowledge about the gay community is sourced from gay dating articles on the web and the closest thing I have to an expert is my friend Tina who enjoys the company of gay men. According to her, there are a lot of gay men out there, but it's only now that they're making their presence felt because society is getting more tolerant of people with a different sexual orientation. While this alternative lifestyle still experiences antagonism, some laws against discrimination have encouraged gay men to come out of their closets and be more open about their homosexuality.
Recently, the gay community scored a victory of sorts when a popular dating site was brought to court for discriminating against homosexuals because it didn't provide matchmaking services for gay singles. As part of a settlement, a new site will be launched that will offer same-sex matchmaking and give gay singles a venue where they can find a compatible partner. This is great news indeed for a lot of gay men and as Tina would say, gay guys go to clubs and bars for the action, but when they're looking for relationship and commitment the internet is their best friend. In fact, most of her sweet gay friends have found their significant others online after searching through many profiles on gay dating sites.
All I know is that with many gay singles turning to the internet for love and romance, the chances of finding a compatible same-sex partner online is looking great.
