Born in Sao Paolo, Brazil, she came to North America when she was 14 years old. There was much of this country that she loved, and we had a lot in common. However, I think that she really longed to be back at home in more comfortable surroundings. Being at the beach with her was somewhat of a challenge, because I can be a bit of a jealous guy and, having grown up in Brazil, she was given to fits of near nakedness that I could not fully understand.

Don't get me wrong: I'm all for nakedness, but her carefree ways were just a little too much for me to handle. For us, it didn't work out, and she ended up going home. I'm sure she's doing well, back in surroundings where she's able to express herself freely without someone trying to keep her from being herself.

It's not to say that much of our relationship wasn't wonderful, because it certainly was. It didn't work for us, but I know that it works for many people. Sometimes opposites attract, and when that happens it's an electric event that serves to fuse those two together in bonds that no physics or reason can comprehend or break apart.
