Hot Summer Dates

Summer Dating is HOT!Has it been hot out this summer, or what! WOW! I thought last summer was bad. I had moved into my apartment the Fall before and it barely seemed like Spring had arrived before I had to run and grab and AC unit. This summer snuck in. It didn’t seem as hot as last year – then BOOM! I’m scared to even head outdoors. The second I do, I’m a sticky mess. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the difference between dry heat and humid heat. It soaks! I mean it sucks! Now imagine that you wanted to actually have a date with someone you’ve never met before. It may be a short 15 minute walk down the street.

However, by the time you get there, you’re nothing but a vertical puddle. You can’t give them a kiss on the cheek for fear of leaving a streak. You can’t shake hands for fear the handshake will be like wringing a wet towel. Hello drippy! What, then, is left?

Clearly, this tirade is a little more about a mole hill than a mountain. Still, my point sticks. Dating in the hottest months of the summer stinks. Let’s just hope that the only thing that smells when I wade out on my next Internet date.

I guess it depends on where you're living. If it's in the north then, you're soggy toast, but if you're in the south, then you're used to it.

Dating in January is worse. Wind whipping you in the face along with the sleet and snow. At least in the summer you can walk to an ice cream parlor, cool off and relax. During the winter nobody wants to even go outside.
