My Encounter With An Italian Beauty In The Eternal City
My parents took me on a trip to Rome when I was twelve years old. Being a little kid at the time, I was more focused on eating all the pasta I could get my hands on. Add a couple slices of pasta and a few scoops of gelato, I grew up to be quite a chubby kid. Good thing I lost all that weight just in time for my trip back to The Eternal City last year. That time I went slow on the pizza and I took it easy with the malaga (rum raisin) gelato so I could be in good shape when I meet an Italian beauty on my Roman holiday.

Flirting And The Italian Man
Before I met my girlfriend in college, I tried many ways to meet and possibly get into a relationship with a girl. Well, there's the "we-share-interests" approach, but that only works if you do share interests with the girl (and it's hard to find a girl in a bar with a passion for computer games). There's also the "let-me-buy-you-a-drink" approach, which doesn't really work, but I've never tried using a cheesy pick-up line just to get a girl's attention. You know, "Is your dad a terrorist? Because you're the bomb baby!" That's just pathetic. However, I learned how to be a good flirt when I became buddies with an Italian man that I met in class.

Why Hot Italian Men Make Good Lovers
It's really not hard to understand why a lot of women go on Italian dating sites looking for a tall, dark and handsome man to sweep her off her feet. Italian men are not only very attractive, but they seem to have a better understanding of the fairer sex. For most women, hot Italian men are the best lovers because they seem to know what a woman wants and they always try their best to satisfy a girl's needs with great romance ideas. A bit of warning though, Italian guys like to keep it nice and slow and they're not just in it for the speed of dating.

How I lost my Italian Sweety
It's been quite a while and the dust has settled, so now it's time to tell the tale of how I screwed up big time and lost probably the best girlfriend I'd ever had. I'm talking about my Italian sweety and to preserve her anonymity we'll call her Carina. At the time, I was inexperienced in dating Italians or anyone for that matter and a little naive. Pizza And Pasta With A Hot Italian Date
I haven't got the slightest idea on the origins of the phrase tall, dark and handsome but I'm pretty sure whoever came up with that was thinking of good-looking Italian men. Italians, in general, are an attractive lot which is probably why many of my friends come up to me for help on finding a hot Italian date. It's not that much of a problem considering there are many good dating sites on the internet and in this day and age when you can pretty much find anything with the touch of a button and a click of the mouse, Italian dating is as easy as ordering take-out.

Beautiful Italian Dates And Beautiful Traditions
Traditions are important. It might not always be in the forefront of your mind, but it's hard to understand yourself without knowing where you came from. It's equally hard for other people to understand you if they don't understand your background and the traditions and values that shaped your life from the beginning. You don't, of course, want to be overly obsessed with the past, but it's natural to value the form of life you've lived and to want it to continue. What's amazing to me is how few people actually understand this desire. My Italian friends are usually the only people who understand me when I talk about these things. One of my friends in particular dreams of having a beautiful Italian wife, and he's trying to find himself the perfect match on some Italian dating sites.

More Beautiful Italian Women
I'm not the kind of person that has 'celebrity crushes.' I don't watch movies or television and dream of being with some sexy starlet. I don't fantasize about being some movie star's date to the Oscars or anything like that. There is one gal, however, for whom I do have a particular fondness. For some reason Sofia Coppola is a gal that I find myself giving more attention to than I might normally be inclined to at the best of times. I'm not sure that Italian Dating is the way I should necessarily be going, but it does seem as though more and more beautiful, Italian women are catching my eye these days.

Lonely Italian Angel
I think everyone that meets my friend Guilietta describes her as an Italian angel. I know that sounds a bit contrived, but I've personally heard her described that way, using those exact words, more than a few times. There's really no reason for her to be lonely except that after recent events she's become very picky. Only in the past couple of weeks have I been able to convince her to try some Italian Dating sites.

Dangerous Italian Fantasy
This particular Italian fantasy of mine began after watching the Godfather trilogy one too many times and then noticing that there are such things as Italian dating sites. I'm sure this will sound like a horrible idea to anyone with an ounce of common sense, but my theory is that marrying into a mafia family would solve all of my problems. Sure, I know what you're thinking: Sonny is going to get wasted in a hail of gunfire, and I'm going to take that lonely, one-way trip to the airport after getting smacked around a bit for good measure. This is definitely one of those ideas that seem to be destined for a bad ending, but I think, with proper planning, this fantasy can be salvaged.

Masculine Italian Men
I find it totally fascinating to try to figure out why different people are attracted to different things. I know it's got to do with a complex combination of our biological, psychological and emotional backgrounds, not to mention our life experiences. Still, being the expert on my own sexuality, it's a complete mystery why I have a particular adoration of masculine Italian men, and therefore Italian dating.

Is That My Italian Wife?
As part of my never-ending series of entries dedicated to daydreams and personal ramblings, this week I explore the wonderful recurring dreams of being married to an Italian. I'm not Italian, nor do I currently have any crushes on any Italians in my life, but when I see somebody like Asia Argento go nuts in another B movie, my heart beats a little faster. I know that in real life my Italian wife would probably be nothing like feisty Ms Argento, but that's what unattainable fantasies are all about. I know that people like Sophia Lauren aren't likely to be found cruising the Italian dating scene, but a man can still dream (although it should be noted that Sophia is a tad past per prime, but you likely get the picture).
