Kissing Asian Lips
She came into my life not so long ago. Online dating was new and every smile received and email exchanged promised something that I had been searching for most of my life. Was I sure what I was looking for? No, not really. Did I meet someone special that I let pass by? Maybe that girl, that Chinese girl was the one. She was a professional dancer who came from China to seek a better life. She had long, thin legs and a beautifully sculpted body. Kissing her Asian lips was fire and ice and stirred passions that I never knew existed.
She was a summer and fall season of great memories. We met accidentally. I was reviewing some Asian dating sites and noticed her on a couple. Her picture caught me. It was black and white. Her hair was curled and tied back in pig-tails. She sat on a bale of hay in what was almost certainly the set of a photo shoot, or some movie lot. She peered up at the camera with bright eyes and her Asian lips were parted in a wicked smile that played across her face. There was something there that spoke to me. I had to meet her.
Our first date was at a pub. We drank copius amounts of wine and I strained
to understand what she was saying over the noise of the crowded bar. She had
only been in the country for a couple of months—a move that was only allowed
after bribing a Chinese official, although what she paid or how I never knew.
She was driven, cunning and talented. We had a great many days together, her
learning English from me and me learning about her culture from her. She was
special. However, as time passed, we lost touch. We still speak, but only infrequently.
She’s not happy. She wants to go home. Life wasn’t as she expected
over here. I just hope to see her one more time, to kiss those Asian
lips, before she disappears forever.
