Language of Love
It can be hard enough falling in love without putting yourself in a place where language barriers are an issue. Such was my thought as I pulled into the Montreal train station for a recent visit.
As I strolled through the streets, surrounded by the many beautiful French women that live there, I couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to move to the city. Montreal, for those that haven’t been, is a city apart. Living in North Americas biggest French metropolis is about language and about lifestyle. It’s about visiting the many bars and restaurants in the evenings, catching up with friends and falling in love. Although you can get by with English, the majority of people speak French. I put a premium on the ability to communicate. I’ve dated people who don’t speak English very well in the past and it has always led to the same conclusion: there’s little one can do to really expand the scope of the relationship outside of the bedroom. I’d like to move to Montreal if I could, but I wouldn’t do it at the expense of possible love. That’s just my thoughts . . . would it be a consideration for you?

When we travel we see a lot of attractive people and actually if we like the place we're ready to stay there.
There's one question that always arises for me: Will I find what I want there?
Nationalities and languages they are the barriers that can stop me from being happy. I'm not quite sure that I would be able to get used to the atmosphere of a foregn country and live there. It's only a thought as yours.

Montreal is a fabulous city!! But as they say: "The grass is always greener."
It would be a shame to move there, get into a new relationship and find out that you have the same issues as you would in a relationship in your current city...only now, making up is harder because of the language barrier. It's difficult enough trying to make a partnership work in one language, much less two!
