Reminiscing About A Large Woman I Used To Date
Back when I was still fairly overweight, I used to date a large woman whom I had met on one of several BBW dating sites I was trying out at the time. None of the sites really impressed me, but I was still fairly new to online dating, so it was my own fault for not having enough cash to really take advantage of any of their good features. I don't fully regret spreading my wallet so thinly, though, because she ended up spending the cash to talk with me and we hit it off pretty well.

Large Men Have It Tough Some Times
Just this past weekend, I got an email from a BBW personals site that I hadn't visited in ages. It was a bittersweet moment because it reminded me of how I used to categorize myself as one of many large men on that site only a few months ago. Dating Need Not Be Tough For Shy Large Guys
Back in college, I believe I could count the number of one-night stands I had on just one finger. Even then, seeing how unsatisfied she was when she left, I think it's fair to discount some of the knuckles. While I'm proud to say I didn't fall into the typical barbaric attitudes most guys adopt when experiencing college life, I must admit that's only because I was a shy large guy who didn't think he'd get to seriously snag any frisky coeds. For five years I've had an insufferable crush on my friend's best friend. She's probably the most gorgeous black woman I've ever met. Is The Word BBW Sexy?
I've always hated buzz words. Whenever I hear a new buzzword, I can't help but feel that it shortens words or phrases that don't need shortening, thereby dumbing down the English language. Maybe we just live in the world of short attention spans, and our language reflects that. BBW is one of those buzz-words/acronyms that give me a headache. Big Beautiful Women is a nice phrase; it gets the message across without being overbearing. BBW makes me think of some Eastern European budget car producers. It's not like Cupids' Reviews is above criticism either - we have an entire section devoted to BBW dating. But is the phrase BBW sexy? Is it acceptable shorthand, or does it actually insult the people that it refers to?
