Looking for a Single Parent Dating Tip?

Single Parent Dating Tip!The sheer amount of self-help books is baffling sometimes - you have to wonder how Dr Phil turns a profit with the insane amount of competition he's facing these days. Everybody has advice for everyone, whether anybody asked for advice or not. Single parent dating may not have an easily recognizable dating handbook that everybody's heard of, a la He's Just Not That Into You, Dating Survival Handbook, etc. It's also not like single dating is this crazy niche that nobody's heard of - the Gilmore Girls and Kramer vs Kramer are a couple of examples. Finding a decent single parent dating tip is like finding a needing a needle in the haystack unfortunately, and you have to wade through a lot of tripe before you hit gold.

There are more than enough self-help books that deal with the very real problems of being a single parent in the modern world. Life can be a little overwhelming while people juggle child-rearing with earning a living wage. Little details like dating can be left to the wayside as the pressure from work and home cancels out a lot of social lives. A lot of single parents, like many people who do not have the additional burden/joys of parenting, can make their work lives mix with their social lives. Workplace romances are about as popular as they ever were, and people don't really need to read a book to figure out how to date that guy or gal from Accounts Receivable.

Still, there ARE a few books out there for single parents who are not necessarily interested in mixing business and pleasure. Mom, There's a Man In The Kitchen and He's Wearing Your Robe by Ellie Slott Fisher is a great start, and it's packed with genuinely worthwhile info that will help juggling a social life with parenting skills. You may not be necessarily looking for a replacement spouse or child-rearing partner, but the stark reality of dating and raising a child who may not be happy with your romantic life needs to be addressed. The best dating guides show how that can be done.

A lot of single parents don't need a guru or video or book-on-tape to teach them all about dates. Nobody ever said raising a child on your own was going to be easy however. People need all the help they can get in order to not only nurture and guide a child, but also maintain a semblance of a social life. Whether that advice comes from a book or best friend, a little assistance is always welcome.
