Looking For Those Pretty Muslims

Bookmark This Page

Pretty Muslims! The Internet has shrunk this world down to size. This seems a little dizzying at times - I know that when I fly across this continent or keep up communication with people on opposing sides of North America, I have this weird vertigo feeling, as if flying three thousand miles is the equivalent of going on a longish road trip. International communities, including the Muslim world, now have access to dating potential that was hitherto unimaginable. There is no need to let little details like "oceans" and "ten thousand mile distances" interfere with pretty Muslims who are looking to enhance their dating choices. Muslim dating has experienced a surge in popularity in recent years (well, along with virtually every other ethnic category that you can think of).

The usual complaints about ethnic dating has also been levelled at Muslim dating, arguably even moreso given the popular misconception of Muslims sticking to their own no matter what the geographic or national area they happen to find themselves in (as if Caucasians are any different). The recurring point that's made over and over again is that Muslim dating sites which exclude non-Muslims are elitist, and well, exclusive. These critics like to point out the fact that dating should know no bounds, love is blind, people shouldn't limit themselves to specific ethnic groups, etc etc.

However, when a given date eventually arrives at the point when you're expected to come up with some interesting conversation starters, it's nice not to have to defend your religious beliefs while the two of you sip coffee. It's also pleasant to have at least one major difference (religion/ethnic background) thrown out the window before the date has even begun.

So log on for love and if you want to narrow the field down to a mere few million choices, go for it - having preferences doesn't make anybody elitist. It just means that the preferences may not mesh with someone else's idea of romance and multicultural dating, but such is life. Romance is subjective, and there's always going to be few haters in the online world (the online dating world is sadly no exception).
