My Buddy's Explosive Military Woman
After a three-year stint in "Iraqistan," my buddy wanted to stop making war and start making love. When I asked why the sudden 180 turnabout, he sat me down, clasped his hands on my shoulders and said "Brian, if you make one more stupid war pun, I'm going to smack you." Having not been through boot camp training since my days in fat camp, I figured it was a good idea to shut up and listen to what he had to say about his new military attache. When asked if he met her on tour, he replied that he instead found her on a military dating site. Apparently, she was a military woman with a wicked sense of humor.

Going AWOL For A Cute Military Girl?
Dating a chick in the army never really crossed my mind until caught an episode of one of my favorite shows in which the a guy starts going out with a girl in prison and realizes all of the perks seeing her only when he wants to. As hilarious as it was, it dawned on me that of all the dating sites out there, military dating might be as close as I'm willing to get. A cute military girl is a hell of a lot easier to find than you might think and so far, the long distance and the small amount of time you actually see each other has been working out perfectly.

Finding The Right Military Guy
Most girls have harbored a fetish about guys in uniforms, but I've always felt that the military guy ranks high on their list. Is it because of the way they stand proudly in their uniforms? Or is it their way of being supportive of our troops? I do know that these girls think cute men look ten times hotter when they're wearing their army uniforms and that's probably the reason why there are lots of porn sites whose models are wearing military clothing. I know I like my girls wearing uniforms, so I'm very much into military dating.

My Beautiful Military Girl
When I was in high school I seriously thought about joining the army like my older brother. I thought about being a modern day hero who fights the bad guys, making the world a safer place for everyone with time to spare for some hot military dating with a beautiful military girl. I guess that's what happens when you grow up watching G.I. Joe. I'm beginning to think that cartoon show was clever propaganda to encourage young boys to enlist in the army when they grow up. I'd like to say I didn't join the military because I chose to help my country in other ways. The truth is I chickened out. The images on the television is far from the colorful animations on G.I. Joe.

Military Love Changes The Rules Of The Game
It's no secret that people in the military live in an entirely different world. Could it also be true that some long-standing sayings and well-recognized pieces of advice in the civilian world aren't as relevant to men and women in uniform? Everyone knows the old saying that opposites attract. Everyone has also heard the classic advice that it's a really bad idea to date someone you work with. Could it be that both of these time-tested sayings get thrown out the window when it comes to military love? Strangely, this seems to be the case, as evidenced by the popularity of military dating sites on the web.

Military Women Seeking Men For Stable Relationships
People who are constantly traveling for their work always have a very hard time with relationships. Unless your partner travels with you, it's hard to maintain any kind of a relationship. Even more difficult than the maintenance of a relationship is finding one in the first place. If you're single and always away from home, it's pretty difficult to join the dating world. I guess that's why there are so many military women seeking men on military dating sites.

Grand Adventures And Military Dream Girls
So I had this funny experience recently. My friend met this gal on a military dating site. He's a professional solider, by which I mean he's decided that his army gig isn't just a job but a career, so he thought that the only fair way to start a relationship would be to find someone else that really understood the way he wanted to live his life and knew what that life entailed. So, you ask, how did this get me, of all people, thinking about military dream girls? Moreover, why does that constitute a "funny experience"? I'll try and explain.

Military Wives In Love
Given the headlines that I've been reading over the last couple of years, I've had lots of opportunities to wonder about how difficult it must be for all the military wives that are here, at home, wondering how their husbands are doing overseas. Of course, there are many men with wives overseas who are in the same predicament, but it's mostly because I have a friend that is married to an Army Lieutenant and she has a hard time when he's gone that I've been thinking about military wives. I don't think that they met on a military dating site, but I do know that my friend often recommends that her girlfriends check them out.

The Troubles Of Military Men
You would imagine that adventurous, dedicated military men in uniform would have an easy time of it in the dating world. According to a good friend of mine you'd be wrong. It seems the military dating scene is difficult to negotiate. I'm told that the problem isn't so much meeting women as finding ones that can deal with a lifestyle that keeps couples apart for long periods of time.

A Serious Relationship With A Military Girlfriend
I have a thing for women with authority. I believe in equality in relationships. A chick who is too passive, who never takes charge of a situation and who waits for me to make all the decisions makes me feel more like a parent than a boyfriend. I've never had a serious relationship with a military girlfriend or gone out with a police officer or anything like that, but I've always had the idea sitting in the back of my mind. I know military dating isn't for everyone, particularly because of the long periods of physical separation due to overseas missions, but soldiers have somehow managed to balance work with their personal lives for years.

Where Are The Hot Military Babes?
Demi Moore hasn't appeared in anything worthwhile since the Clinton administration, but one of her standout movies was a little number by Ridley Scott called GI Jane. She portrayed one of the first women to go through the rigours of Navy SEAL basic Training - one of those horror show training sequences that would leave most mere mortals weeping after a couple of days. It's probably unforgivably sexist, but she WAS quite hot in that film. There's something very attractive about anybody going through the hardcore grinder known as basic training. While Demi was playing one of these highly fictionalized hot military babes, she was an excellent example of the appeal that men and women in uniform have for us civvies. There's a reason for the continued popularity of military dating even for people who would never set foot in a boot camp.

Searching for Military Singles
The "Dear John" letter used to be the staple (if not the stereotype) of military life. For those of you who were not raised on MASH re-runs, a "Dear John" letter consists of a wife writing a passive-aggressive letter to her indisposed husband that the marriage is over (this announcement was sometimes coupled with a surprise like the wife saying that she had fallen in love with the milkman/pizza delivery guy/shoe salesman etc). Times have changed and the world has shrunk since those days - it's easier than ever for those in the armed forces to date, and military singles aren't limited to waiting for snail mail to bring them word of their romantic lives. There are plenty of military dating sites out there, but let the buyer beware - some of 'em ain't as hot as they seem.
