Movies & Dating

Movies for DatesMovies have long been considered a logical place to take a date. As a youth, it seemed like one of the only places. You couldn’t drive so wherever you went had to be close to home or you had to get dropped off at a set location. A mall with a theatre was perfect for dating at that time in my life. And back then, there was so much emphasis on the possibility of making out during a movie that it turned an ordinary flick into yet another stressful youth experience.

These days, I generally won’t hit a movie with someone new until we’re a few dates in. There just doesn’t seem to be a point when you could spend those two hours trying to get to know someone a little better. Plus, if I want to make out with someone, I’ll do it someplace where the dangers of having corn caught in my teeth are less unlikely.
