My Ex & My Cat
I have a cat and her name is Tas. She’s an orange tabby cat that arrived on my doorstep curtsey of an ex girlfriend about ten years ago. I named her after a character in a book I was reading at the time but the name really has no relation to this furry little feline. Actually, she’s not little at all. She’s rather large. Before you say anything, it’s not my fault! I was away for school for a number of years and she was left with my mother who though that feeding meant a dish of wet cat food and another of dry should be available at all times.
I regained possession of this weighty kitty a few years back. Although she’s been on a diet, the pounds are coming off slow . . . if at all. Her size is only surpassed by her meows, which screech through the air like air raid sirens at various times throughout the day. If I’m in one room, she will inevitably cross to another and begin to call for attention. I used to think this was because she is so large that she needed help to get up on furniture in the other room. It has taken a number of years for me to realize the truth: she’s an attention whore, just like the ex who gave it to me!
The moral of this story is: DON’T GIVE PETS TO THE PEOPLE YOU
DATE!

of animals)
