It was a little weird for me to hear her talk like this. For one thing, this was the teacher more commonly known amongst her students and teaching assistants as "The Dragon Lady O'Doom." For another, she completed her Doctorate in English literature, specializing in Shakespeare. "Older cutie" just isn't quite the vocabulary you'd expect to hear from a woman like this. And finally, this lady is beyond ancient! She got that Ph D. back in the early 1970s! How much older can this dude possibly be?

Luckily for me, I was more thunderstruck than amused when I heard her utter the sentence "He's such a sweet senior teddy bear." Sure, answering that with roaring laughter wouldn't matter anymore, since she's no longer my professor, but I wouldn't want to insult her since she's still my friend. I wonder how happy her students are now that someone tamed the dragon, so to speak. Was she this mellowed out in her classes?

Having just come from a class, she still had her netbook computer with her. Lord knows how, but I somehow managed to convince her to show me a picture of the mature guy in question. We were still in wireless range of the university, so she logged onto the dating site and showed me his profile.

I choked on my pastry when I saw him. Turns out they had something big in common. He's a professor at the same university, only in the math department. She asked how I knew, so I explained that I took his class as an elective. If she was a dragon, then the older cutie she's dating is friggin' Godzilla! He almost drove me, a grown man, to tears one day!

My mind exploded at the thought of these two combining forces and terrorizing the academic community. Were they both transformed into lovey-dovey types or was that just when talking about each other? Were they actually worse than normal whenever they were separated? Whatever the case may be, I am so glad I've finished my academic career!
