New Ebony Friends
Well, it happened again. Another dating site seems to have switched horses in midstream, jumping from one domain to the next. I just finished switching Christian Mingle after they decided to drop their domain in favor of Relationships.com. Now it seems like Ebony Connect has decided to roll over to EbonyFriends.com.
I can understand the changing a name because you’ve landed a shorter or much better domain. Marketing is at least half the battle when it comes to wooing singles on the net. Changing Ebony Connect to Ebony Friends, though, is a little different. Sure, it may be a better name, but only marginally. Perhaps there were other reasons for the switch? Whatever the case, Ebony Friends is the new home for yet another ethnic-specific dating site. Here’s hoping it makes the world of difference for them!

I hope they provided some sort of notice to users when you make major changes like that.

Changing name of the site may give unpredictable results unless the new name is analyzed properly.
According to Cabalarian Philosophy, “your DOMAIN NAME is equally as important as your Business Name and should also have strong business characteristics. The EMAIL signature you use is also important. A strong EMAIL name will allow you to attract the best opportunities in the world of the net.” (http://www.kabalarians.com/cfm/kalex-intro.cfm- this is not an ad, just a research)
As I can see now the main strategy of the site has changed and they are going to provide not only connections for love but also for friendship. The name is telling me that.

looking foward to a long term relationship that can turnout to be marriage. i love to have friends but don't know how to make them and when i am able to make one try as much as possible to keep it for good. i am a pastor and would want someone who is into the ministry as well, not necessarily a pastor.
