Researching Before You Write

Researching A Personals ProfileHow many people sit down and do research before they write an online personals profile? I know I did and I still do to this day. Even though I’ve been online for three years, it’s still good to rewrite your profile from time to time. I like to search through both men’s and women’s profiles to see what others are doing.

Sometimes you can pick up some neat ideas that will help your profile stand out from the masses. After all, the goal is to appear different than all the rest and somehow more appealing. How can you do that if you don’t know the profiles appearing beside you?

I think you will stand out to the ones your supposed to and who cares what the one beside you says. I think if you are meant to meet someone, you just will.. no fancy words will change that outcome... everything happens for a reason remember? So you can spice it up, change it up, whatever you want, it doesn't change who you are and the qualities that will shine through to the one that it is meant to :)

Onlien dating has become the fast food of relationships. No one looks closely at the menu they just order what they're familiar with. You can be as insightful and upbeat and impressive as yuou want. People just don't read the text all that closely anymore. In the beginning of online dating, we poured over profiles and paid close attention to the copy. But now? It's like a been there, done that attitude. Now people look for the basics, height, age, full body picture. There's so much deception in online dating that people don't wish to invest much more tiem than necessary.

That's like saying we have no free-will. What happens to us just happens - for everything! That just can't be!

Moxie:
This is the saddest thing I've heard today, for sure, maybe even all week! I don't think it true. At least I hope to heck that it isn't. Yes, pictures are the main draw to a profile - and always will be. But I know for me, if I like the pic and there's nothing written - or its negative or poor quality - I'll just keep on surfing. Maybe that puts me in the minority, but I still have to believe that what we say -- what we write -- is important!
