Saturday Night Whackos
It was Saturday night and I was sitting watching a movie on the couch. I was feeling completely comfortable, totally in the relaxation zone, when notification came in that I had mail in my box at one of the dating sites I belong to. A few easy clicks and I was there. To my surprise, it was from a 40 year old many who lives about three hours from me. He said I was cute. I thanked him. That should have been the end of it.
Then he writes back with this - and I quote verbatim:
"where do tou live is it south wat are tou dowing tonight way do you do for fun"
A) I'm not gay. B) He was freaky, scary looking C) He has a slight problem with communication!
Who gives these guys computers and access to the Internet? There should be profile police round up all the loonies and stick them in their own dating site from which there's no escape! The world is full of crackpots and crazy dating fools. I guess that just makes me one of many ;)

Ok, here's where life gets pretty scary. You know those guys/gals you pass in the store that look like they're directly related to ugly stick? Well now you know just what is out there and what you'll probably run into. People with no grasp of English, no soap, no toothbrush, and probably no mirror. Some are so desperate for contact with somebody that they will lie to lure you or your children into vulnerability. Some either can't figure out what you're interested in, or don't care. I know that God made everybody different and there are plenty of really iffy creations out there and I'm not being down on them or anything but the rest of us need to interact with them very carefully. Be compassionate, be kind, be aware that they might have feelings, but BE CAREFUL! Don't end up on the monday night news......
Just some advice from the helpful hinter....

Such good advice, hinter! I especially like the part about being compassionate. There's not enough of that in the world these days!
