i'm goin to try to answer ur question briefly. why should ethiopians have their own dating site you say. well trying to answer tha question u think, 'what is it that makes ethiopians so special?'. well, ethiopia is the only african country that wasn't colonized (they sent shock waves around the world when they successfully fended off italians from thier land, with technology solely on the side of the italians). they ae therefor a source of pride for all africans. and also ethiopians are known world-wide for their beauty. they're an extremely beautiful people. And very cultured also. and that is two of the reason's why ethiopia should have a dating site

what there is no special thing about Ethiopia it is just a poor country in the horn of Africa, i dont know why people deny the facts surrounding them, they are very narrow minded and they spent all their time fighting with each other , there is no such thing as the suprmacy of the law or Democracy in Ethiopia people are the law and Democracy is a thing that will be given by some corrupt officials in the government But i tell you all people one thing , there is a real religious tolerance between the Muslims and the Christians that i think is the only thing that Ethiopia has Got , you might Talk about Axum,Lalibela and stuffs like that but those things doesnt give the people prosperity a peace

This is a good question. In short, Ethiopians see themselves as different, not only to Africa but to the world as well. Historically Ethiopia was closed away from the outside world for almost 2500 years in the rugged interior. That nation is one of the oldest in the world, imagine that. A very old nation closed away from outside influence, maintained a unique culture, religious ritual, social rules and politics. It has its own alphabet system, its own unique calendar system, its own unique time system, unique military system, food, music etc... all unique.
On top of that, the people look very different than others in Africa and certainly the world.

It is very difficult for Ethiopians to fit in foreign cultures, including those in Africa.

Specially when the outside world has this negative outlook to black people, imagine how that is. The color label is something Ethiopians get exposed to when they go abroad. I stopped being a person and became a color when I came to the US. That was the most weird at first then disappointing thing I have ever had to face. People are labeled, black, brown, white, yellow, Red, etc...

Ethiopians are raised to be extremely respectful and courteous to strangers and elders. You lower yourself in public situations in respect to others. You talk quietly, and minimize eye contact.
That is the not the case in Africa and most of the world. I mean we bow more so than the Japanese. Oh by the way, Ethios actually are similar to the Japanese in most ways. Except that no one in the world knows Ethiopians are like that and get put off by how we act or think we are weird creatures.
European visitors who had been in other parts of Africa come to Ethiopia thinking they can act the same or get the same type of treatment. And then they get shocked, sometimes putoff by it or get disappointed for not getting the admiration they get elsewhere in Africa. Ethiopians are respectful to foreigners, black, white, yellow, everybody. if you are not Ethiopian you get a polite respectful gestures but you will not be held to the same standard Ethiopians have to each other. Ethios are way into their culture and immersed in it, they do not expect others to understand.
You see we feel cornered, we feel we will never be understood, we feel we are God's people who are going through tough times now, we feel different, we feel ashamed by the poverty in our country, we feel we need to stick together to be satisfied in life.
