Spyware and your Spouse

Spyware Catches Cheaters?I was having an interesting conversation today with a friend. One of his friends is well on the road to getting married. Her and her fiancée have been dating for years. There was an incident a few years back when she caught him exchanging emails with a special woman, but they had a talk and cleared that up. More recently she found his computer had tracks from porn sites.

Added to this case was the fact that when she came back from a recent vacation, she found that her mate had jumped a plane and flew half way across the country in the middle of the night, only to return 12 hours later. Due to a few more twists in the plot, she has been unable to speak with her fiancée as he’s been on a vacation, too. However, before he’s had a chance to explain himself, she’s seized the opportunity of his absence to install spyware on his computer. Welcome home, honey!

I generally take the road that if I don’t trust my partner for some reason, that’s the only sign I need to end things. Certainly, with the wedding bells ringing, now’s the time to make a move if you must. However, if a little spying happens to turn up nothing, you might be able to put your fears away and prepare for a life of wedded bliss.

I don’t know where to stand on the issue. I see both sides pretty clearly. Anyone else care to lay an opinion?

Yes, knowledge is power. If he is internet cheating prior to marriage, it will only get worse. Beware. Use the spyware and if you tie the knot, it can always be used as evidence in the divorce.
