Sunshine and Dating
Is it just me or is it too nice outside to be inside surfing dating sites? I was looking at my inbox last night, watching the stack of un-answered email grow, wondering if I would ever have the inclination to answer them. Then I looked outside.
It was early evening. The sun was going down, shedding soft rays over a nearby hilltop. All I could think about was getting outside. I closed my laptop and went for a walk. There were so many people outside: singles walking their dogs, couples strolling hand-in-hand and squirrels and birds hopping from tree to tree. It was fantastic! There wasn’t a single electronic beep to be heard and the thoughts of surfing profiles and responding half-heartedly to mindless emails was forgotten. Then I came home. There the pile still sits. I’m back where I was before. Then I glance outside and see the sun falling again over the hilltop once more. Repeat.
