The Age Of The Beautiful Man
In the old days, women tended to spend more time looking pretty in front of the mirror while men weren't concerned so much with their appearance. The women took great care in looking fabulous in order to find and marry someone rich and powerful. The men only made an effort to look good when there was a gathering or a meeting with a lady they had to attend to. Ah, those were the days of Jane Austen. While only a few continue with this practice, more men take their time now to look good before heading out. In fact, some men come out of their homes looking more attractive than most women. If you've been living under a rock, then we welcome you to the age of the beautiful man.
The beautiful men I'm referring to are metrosexuals. They're the ones who have strong concerns for their looks. In this day and age, more men are taking an interest in looking good. Gay men aren't the only ones shopping for bronzer at the Revlon counter. Straight men have also come out to buy this season's hottest outfits. Men who actually look good and dress well are now not only found in gay dating arenas. This can be credited to certified metrosexuals like David Beckham, Ryan Seacrest and Justin Timberlake. After all, they are the "poster boys of metrosexuality."
You don't have to be a wealthy male to be a metrosexual. Sure, you don't have the funds to buy yourself an Armani suit here or a Versace jacket there, but you can certainly make your outfit work by mixing and matching pieces. You may not have the cash to go to a renowned dermatologist, but I'm sure you can afford to buy a good facial wash. You don't need a lot of money to look good. All you need to do is to hone your fashion sense and avoid buying clothes that don't really work for you. One way to do this is by reading fashion magazines. These magazines teach you good grooming techniques and fashion skills that will definitely aid you in your quest to be a beautiful man. It's not just the women who make themselves look beautiful to get a date. Peacocks flaunt their beautiful feathers to attract a peahen, so it's only natural for human males to do so too.
Before anything else though, good looks fade away and clothes are just...clothes. What matters is what makes you beautiful on the inside.

I wish I could find some of these 'beautiful' men! I live in Los Angeles, land of the beautiful people, and yet I don't happen upon too many men who give much thought to their appearance. At least not on dating websites. Half of them look like criminals and the other half are fairly drab. No peacocks evident anywhere! Someone really needs to advise men on 'presentation' :)
