While it would be easy to chalk this up to never getting around to it, there may be a bit of trepidation mixed into my reasons. Would some exotic fit beauty go for me in the first place or could I handle her if she did? I know this line of thinking is actually quite silly. Having roots in a hot place doesn't make someone too hot to handle.

Enough about past possible insecurities, back to the other day in the supermarket when I bumped into this beautiful Latin girl, literally. I had been reaching for a box of cereal on the top shelf and almost fell over until something or rather something, broke my fall. I steadied myself to see that she had dropped the bag of oranges and loaf of bread she was holding.

I bent over and picked them up for her while apologizing. As is typical with me, my flirtatious nature took over and I tried to turn an awkward situation into something fun. We started talking and before long we were going for coffee.

She seemed like a perfect match for me. We got along great and she told me some fascinating stories of her native Colombia. Turns out we had a lot in common and by all accounts things seemed to be going very well.

That is until she informed me that while she was enjoying my company, it wouldn't go any further because there was someone she was already seeing. She had met him a few weeks ago through an online Latin dating service.

Regardless of the outcome, this was a good experience for me. Now I know what I want and that I have the confidence I need to get it. So in the next little while, I'm going to go online and look for another beautiful Latin girl.
