If you're a successful individual with your finger on the pulse of the city, there are, no doubt, other ways to meet wealthy singles but few are as convenient or effective. Anyone who manages to carve out a successful business did so through a lot of hard work and probably doesn't have a lot of free time. That's not to say that they to don't take the time to enjoy life or have fun, it's just that the time they give themselves to lie back and cut loose is time they want to spend with people they care about rather than hanging out in a lounge vetting strangers to see if there's a spark. Being successful isn't about running yourself ragged; it's about making sure that all of your time is well spent.

The Internet affords a lot of opportunities, and it also makes it easy to fit things into your schedule. You can't, of course, ignore prospects, but when you're communicating by e-mail you can, at least, wait until you have the time to respond. There will come a time to meet, but you can make sure that when time comes it's a valuable experience for both of you.

All this talk of scheduling and time constraints might not sound terribly romantic to some people. When we think of romance we tend to think of meeting people who make us feel as though time stands still. While that does happen, you eventually have to get back to your lives. That means finding a real, lasting positive relationship has to be about finding a lifestyle you can share. Changes will have to be made, of course, and you may want to make some changes to your lifestyle to fit in a new relationship, but if you have to give up everything you're probably giving up too much.
