The Chic Magnet
Have I mentioned I’m selling my chic magnet? The time has come to put my house in order and the first things to go are the frills. In this case, my 2002 GSXR 600 race bike. Can I tell you how much I love riding that thing? She’s so sweet! She’s blue and silver and when you crack the throttle you’d better hold on tight cuz she cuts through air so quickly! Did you know you can go from 0 to 65MPH in first gear? She’s so fast. I’ve had it since the summer of 2002.
I had broken up with the ex that past winter and all my buddies were riding so I figured it time to buy one. I had a number of amazing summers out of her. It was great fun cruising with the guys all over the place –downtown to pose in Yorkville or park in the club district along Richmond to pick up the drunk bar chicks as they stumbled out of the bars after a night of debauchery. We also went on rides out in the country, hitting every windy road we could to get the bikes leaning as far as gravity would let us. The best part about riding a motorcycle, though, was taking dates out for rides. I’d meet a girl and five minutes later she’d have her legs and arms wrapped around me and I’d be off to some great spot to get to know her better. It was the perfect icebreaker! Now that time has come to an end. I’ve put the bike in the paper and hope to sell it in the next week. With any luck, some young guy will pick it up and he’ll be able to experience the wondrous dating machine as I have.
