Waking Up Alone
I love living alone. It’s peaceful and I operate at my own pace. Well, that’s if my cat hasn’t put me on the agenda. When she does, I usually hear the piercing siren of her voice as she attempts to wake me up or catch my attention. It’s a sound that requires immediate action. Other than that, life runs pretty smooth. I enjoy being single but I know I prefer to be in a relationship.
This is especially true in the mornings. I don’t really like waking up alone. I prefer to have another warm body lying next to me. I like drowsy conversations as we try to nudge each other into action. “It’s okay, hun, you can shower first.” “No, no, you go first. I insist.” Yes, it’s true. Having someone beside me makes it so much harder to get out of bed, but that’s one downside I can live with. Especially since it means that I’m not waking up – or going to sleep – alone.
