Where Are The Hot Military Babes?

Bookmark This Page

Hot Military Babes!Demi Moore hasn't appeared in anything worthwhile since the Clinton administration, but one of her standout movies was a little number by Ridley Scott called GI Jane. She portrayed one of the first women to go through the rigours of Navy SEAL basic Training - one of those horror show training sequences that would leave most mere mortals weeping after a couple of days. It's probably unforgivably sexist, but she WAS quite hot in that film. There's something very attractive about anybody going through the hardcore grinder known as basic training. While Demi was playing one of these highly fictionalized hot military babes, she was an excellent example of the appeal that men and women in uniform have for us civvies. There's a reason for the continued popularity of military dating even for people who would never set foot in a boot camp.

Of course, I doubt that Demi has ever experienced anything more traumatic than a hangnail in real life, and it is kind of insulting to have this extremely harsh experience glammed up and sold for kicks. On the other hand, pop culture events like this make for a pretty convincing recruitment tool - most of us would pass out after three hours of Navy SEAL training, but when we get hot and bothered watching people get put through the paces in basic training, it makes us want to stand up and salute the flag. If you've got a partner in the military already, cinematic experiences like Jane make your love story that much more romantic.

I don't know if I would be able to handle having a loved one in the armed forces - maybe the reserves, but I'd be queasy with anxiety if they were in the frontline. Not that that info is going to blow anyone away - I sincerely doubt that any family or friends of armed service people would jump for joy when their loved one gets shipped off to man the lines in some war zone. But that queasiness is similar to the general chemistry of dating - a mix of anticipation, apprehension, high hopes and terrible fears. Dating is an emotional roller-coaster ride in any event, although the stakes are considerably higher if the Army/Navy/Air Force/National Guard is involved. You just have to have a little more faith than your average lover..
