Whitney and Bobby Split!
When it comes to celebrity couples, I don’t think I’ve seen a worse match than Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. I don’t know who the destructive influence was in the family, although most fingers seem to point to bad boy Bobby. Whatever the case, Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston are divorcing! It’s about damn time!
Houston is the one filing the divorce papers. The question is, will this divorce also include a separation from the drinking and drugs that have made her the butt of jokes the world over? Every time I’ve seen Houston, she’s rattling on about something and not making much sense. I wonder if she’s been shaken so hard by the substances that recovery is beyond reach. It’s sad to see how far she’s fallen. Her rise to success was inspiring. She was killing it on the airwaves and even on the silver screen. She was gorgeous… and she carried herself like the diva she was. But the path from siren to crack smoker is a short one and brain cells…. well, they don’t multiply as fast as we would like.
Anyway, this is one celebrity couple that I’m happy to see split - and not becauser I think Ms Whitney is a good catch. I just hope she has the sense to pick better next time love comes calling. We have so little time to spend here on this earth and spending it with the wrong person, or people, is the greatest crime you can commit against true love.
