I believe this has something to do with how these hot Italian men are brought up by their parents, more importantly by their mothers. Italian moms tend to be affectionate and over-protective when it comes to their sons. They are constantly fussing over their children even well into their adulthood. It's not uncommon for Italian men to be living with their parents at a certain age. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the reason why Italian guys are this way is actually very simple. They just treat other women the way they want their mothers to be treated by men.

It's a well-known fact that to Italians, there's nothing more important than family. You often see how much Italians give value to familial relationships on television shows, movies and in books. Even the Corleone family from The Godfather knows the importance of this no matter how dysfunctional they are. They still try to keep their family intact even if they have their own personal differences. This is why it's always a special occasion when an Italian man brings his girlfriend home to meet his parents. This is a sure-fire sign that he's very serious about their relationship and a proposal of marriage may not be too far behind.

Italian guys may have a reputation for being mama's boys because of their close relationship to their mothers even when they're all grown up, but I think this is why they make good partners.
