Words of Love
I love love. There, I said it. I always have. Ever since I was a little guy, I have always been fascinated by the idea of relationships and what they’re really driven by. There’s been a lot of great things said about love, whether it be in classic tales or through scenes portrayed on the big screen. I think these have helped drive the meaning home to me – that love is worth laying your life down for.
I thought today I’d share some of my favorite quotes on love, just in case you weren’t already in the mood.
Love isn't a decision. It's a feeling. If we could decide who we loved, it
would be much simpler, but much less magical.
-Trey Parker and Matt Stone
Think about a woman. Doesn't know you're thinking about her. Doesn't care you're
thinking about her. Makes you think about her even more.
-Martin Sage and Sybil Adelman
Jealousy is all the fun you think they had.
-Erica Jong
To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.
-David Viscott
The important thing was to love rather than to be loved.
-W. Somerset Maugham
Just because you love someone doesn’t mean you have to be involved with
them. Love is not a bandage to cover wounds.
-Hugh Elliott
Love is an exploding cigar we willingly smoke.
-Love is an exploding cigar we willingly smoke.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.
-Henry David Thoreau
I am absolutely compelled to follow my feelings or I forfeit the right to live.
-David Thompson
