One of the biggest downsides to this site is that it limits your searching criteria unless you are a paid member. For example, you can’t search for profiles based on anything more than sex, age and distance from your location. It would be nice to have some more features on here that free users can use but it shouldn’t prove hazardous to the overall goal of determining this site’s worth.

Although Age Match allows you to run searches based on your proximity to other members, it limits you to a 100-mile radius if you’re browsing for free. This means it may be difficult to see exactly how many members are in your immediate area. A hundred miles can be a long way to travel for a relationship but here’s hoping that the results that are returned allow you to make an accurate assessment of the site’s local popularity.

AgeMatch brings home a big zero when it comes to showing the last online status. Sure, it says you can see it once you’ve paid for a membership, but how can you tell if a membership is worth paying for if you can’t tell how many members have logged on recently? This is a general warning flag so proceed with caution.

When you’re planning on joining a dating site and you want to spend some time looking around, it’s usually nice if people who have already paid for memberships can contact you without you having to have a membership. AgeMatch is one of many sites that allow this. Members can send unlimited emails and instant messages to non-members. However, make sure you post a picture if you have any hope of taking advantage of the limited free access.

There are other features that come along with paid membership to this site. You will be able to see who is interested in you and also who has viewed your profile. You can browse the list of new members to the site and also access dating advice and safety tips. You can narrow your scope of searches down from a 100-mile radius to 50 miles. The most important feature, which deserves mention again, is the ability to see the last login date/time. It’s hard to determine a site’s worth if you don’t know how often the members in your area are online, but once you plunk down your credit card number, this would be one of the first features I would suggest checking out.

At the time of this review, the site was suffering from a solid popularity score. You’re not going to get the same amount of members here that you would get on a more mainstream site. What you will get is more people open to the possibilities that love and age can bring. The price is about average at $19.95 a month. All in all, it’s not a bad site to take a look at but watch the last online status. If you’re at all wary of whether or not AgeMatch.com has a lot of active members in your area, we would suggest moving on to a site that does show you when each member last logged in. Time and money are valuable and we wouldn’t recommend rolling the dice if you can’t afford to lose the membership fee.
