CasualKiss.com is a standout when it comes to dating sites. It is loaded with features and has a very low monthly fee. The one thing that needs to be pointed out is that there is an association with CampusKiss.com. They’re basically the same site running off two domains. The good thing is that this really doesn’t affect you in any way. You can log on at both domains under the same user and both sites look almost identical. You should just be aware that this is the case and get on to the fun part – checking out the site!

The profile quality is extremely high and the vast majority of users have pictures in their profiles and appear to be real. It asks some useful questions such as your idea of a perfect date and what you’re looking for in a partner as well as some off-color ones such as what you do to get your lover hot. Profiles are also customizable with coding to help you create a look that stands out from the rest. The one down side to profiles is that height and weight have pretty general descriptions such as tall or short and slimmy or full sized. This means that you should be on your guard and get lots of pictures if exact physical specifications are important to you.

The presentation of Casual Kiss is professional but lacks that certain slick pizzazz of some of the more well known dating sites. However, that homegrown feel tends to become part of the charm. Pop-ups are par for the course at CK, unless you have a paid membership. But they’re easily avoided with standard pop-up blocking utilities.

Search options abound so finding someone to date who suits your interests should be easy. You can do quick searches by age and location or get more detailed by looking for those with a certain sexual purity score (an optional proprietary test that asks some very personal questions on your love life) or by the amount of ganja you intake. You can also search by “big picture,” where profile photos appear much larger than regularly displayed – not that they are overly small on standard screen settings.

CasualKiss offers a number of quick contact options for dating needs. You can email or send instant messages, but those features are disabled until you purchase a membership. You can, however, head into a chat room and start yapping it up with others there for free.

One of the best parts about this site is the amount of free access you can have. You can browse profiles, send signs of interest to anyone else, email full members, chat in the forums, rate peoples pictures, read blogs, send ecards, join clubs and attend events without coughing up a dime. The only limitations you have are that you can’t email or instant message non-members or keep a blog. This is about as good as it gets without having a totally free site – which it was for years!

CasualKiss.com offers a number of extra features for fun. It has a large section where you can make or join clubs based on your interests. You can also organize or attend events that often range from some member’s gig at a local pub to a birthday celebration at a nightclub. Blogging is encouraged or you can fill out and read other people’s “confessions” – questions of an interesting or intimate nature. There’s a dreams section where people post about what they want out of life or what thoughts came to them while they slept at night. The sex guide section has users posting their tips and tricks for intimacy, which is always a good read! One of my favourite features is the ability to see who’s stopped by your profile. Often people you wouldn’t think of might stop by and not say hello. However, after they pass by the next day and the next day and the next day, you don’t have to receive an email to get the hint. Listing all of the extra features that come with the site would take a long time. Just know that there’s more value packed into this one URL than most others even consider offering.

Navigation within is pretty simple as long as options don’t confuse you. Most sections open in a main window but you can request pop-ups for certain features, such as when checking member profiles.

Casual Kiss is truly a site that’s seeking to build a dating community. As with most good ideas, it was stared by a guy working out of his house and it carries the same genuine look and feel, avoiding the commercial and focusing instead on quality.
