You only have to fill out a handful of questions to get online with Christian Mingle. In fact, when creating a description, it's easy to overlook some important fields as most have default answers that the system doesn't automatically prompt to change. To avoid this issue and to garner greater success with your profile, revisiting the main and optional profile pages is a wise idea. Meanwhile, I am happy to say that the list of denominations defining one's religious affiliation is quite extensive.

That sure helps when searching for someone who attends a different congregation or parish within the same church. The free search options are very impressive, as it's free to use keyword and advanced searches that cover all of the details that can be included in another member's profile info, as well as finding someone with 10 miles of home. To start making connections, you can send a free smile or a free ecard.

For any other type of contact option, you’ll need to pay and become a premium member. Upgraded members can use email, join live chat or enjoy instant messaging. Although there’s no cost to read the message boards to learn about the general community, you need to have a paid subscription to participate actively. I do find it a negative thing that ChristianMingle doesn't allow free members to respond back to paid subscribers.

To aid in the perfect match quest, the site offers a personality test, which color codes profiles based on results, so similar colors know there's potential chemistry. The site also sends lists of possible matches to offsite email based on criteria filled out online. Beyond simply ticking off options in checkboxes, individual characteristics are ranked by percentage of overall importance, so minor preferences don’t outweigh the imperative requirements for compatibility.

You can also rate profiles while browsing, as 'yes', 'no' or 'maybe' as far as whether interested in meeting the other person. The other member will receive your profile link along with other random matches and will have the opportunity to choose from the same three options. Two yeses and you know it's a good match. The biggest issue with Christian Mingle is the current lack of visitors, but it appears that the site is experiencing a rebirth in popularity of late.
