Flirt For Parents is for singles with kids who want to start dating. The outside of the site shows an image of a handsome man and a gorgeous woman with a cute little child snuggling between them. That's where the niche specific design ends, though. Once you sign up, you'll find that this site resembles most others.

FlirtForParents is another one of those sites that lets you create a profile in a matter of seconds. You don't have to give much info before you're able to get online. For those of us impatient to check out a new site, this sort of carefree process seems appealing at first. However, despite our eager zeal, once inside we soon learn that tons of profiles are blank.

Before I continue, I need to explain something of the utmost importance to many of our surfers. I set up my profile without giving any details besides age, location and screen name. Within seconds of getting onto the site, I received an invitation to chat. That's highly suspect.

At least the person who contacted me was in the same home state I had picked. All the same, I really hadn't given any information about myself to be so instantly appealing. I would have needed to upgrade in order to reply to the message. It's rather unlikely that this contact was the real deal, I'm afraid.

The only thing free on the site is the local searches. You can use zip codes in the US, while in other countries a list of possible cities appears after you choose a broader region. That's great, but the only problem is that you can't see full profiles, just a system-generated description prompting you to pay to see matchmaking details.

Actually, that's not the sole issue because there is also no last login info. Just to be clear, it has nothing to do with paying or not paying. FlirtForParents is designed to only show you whether someone is online and the only other status given is being offline. When someone was last active doesn't seem to be stated anywhere.

It's rather hard to decide to upgrade your membership when you can't be sure how many active members live in your area. Since you can't reply free to messages even if someone contacts you (real or otherwise), you'd have to pay to see if it could go anywhere.

However, once you pay you can use email, instant messaging and chat rooms. Despite all the negative things I've said, there is one bright spot on this site - the relatively low price. Flirt For Parents isn't very popular, but it's inexpensive enough that trying a premium membership won't break the bank.
