Friskie Dating spells "frisky" in an interesting way. It reminds me of the name of a popular brand of cat food. All the same, it's not specifically for feline fanciers. Rather, it's for those seeking the company of an intimate human nature. Despite placing importance on the possibility of meeting someone right away, the site does have one or two unusual weaknesses that might leave you needing to be a bit patient.

I found it frustrating when creating my free profile. I mistakenly thought I had been successful when the page told me, "Congratulations on joining FriskieDating." However, I ended up having to fill out the form a second time. The first time, my request hadn't gone through, despite the welcome message. I guess the site is quite careful to screen for spammers. That's obviously a good thing, but the extra security steps tend to slow down the signup process a bit.

If I upgraded, then I could send as many of them as I wanted, but because most sites don't expect you to ever pay for these minor signs of interest, this seemed a bit strange to me. Stranger yet was the fact that unless I paid for the most expensive membership even emails had a cap of 50 per day. Limiting free access is one thing, but placing limitations on paid subscribers is really hard to swallow.

Using instant messaging and the group chat rooms are also unlimited for paid members. However, you can't really count on replies from free members, because they need to pay before they reply. At least one thing that has improved on FriskieDating.com is its set of FAQs. Now when you click the links for any of the questions you have, you actually get the answer. Before, it was pulling up blank pages.

The biggest issue is, of course, that the membership roster remains rather sparse. The site is not doing well at attracting surfers to its pages. At least you can search very close to home without having to pay for an advanced search engine. So you can check out who's online in your area before paying, even if you have limited access to any other site services.

As previously mentioned, there are two levels of membership. One of which seems slightly too expensive due to the lack of visitors. The other is ridiculously overpriced in comparison to most other sites. They are in need of better promotion and lower pricing. Friskie Dating might have some potential, but it's not measuring up to it yet.

i found the mentioned over price for membership could in the long run hurt this site.if friskie is going to succeed as a dating site they may rethink their prices. i found this review to be very informative and does not seem to pull any punches
