A match made in heaven, I guess, would lead you to believe that you were Heavenly Matched. I thought perhaps by the name that this was going to be a religious dating site, but despite my theory, it seems mostly to be a place for more serious online connections. It's aimed towards finding a soul mate, or the perfect date, but I find that there's a lot of emphasis on relationship compatibility.

Oddly enough, there's not much information that is mandatory for you to post in your free profile, other than some basics, such as name, age, location, education and religion. You can skip right through most of the stuff. They do ask whether you have any specific religious belief and how often you would practice your religion, or partake in some other form of spiritual activity, but other than that, religious references are left off the table.

If you were to complete the entire profile process, it is rather lengthy. HeavenlyMatched.com puts an emphasis on being compatible, not just in the usual ways that people share things in common, but by delving deeper to establish a greater sense of the person behind the profile. For example, there is a personality test that can be completed to give a fuller picture of who you are on the inside, rather than relying on outside descriptions.

You can actually receive customized relationship forecasts based on your personality test results in combination with those of another subscriber. Obviously, you need to have completed your own personality test first, as well as the other member having done the same. The compatibility system was developed by 28 psychologists to determine areas of conflict in existing relationships, so it should work for matchmaking potential couples.

The HeavenlyMatched team puts a great deal of emphasis on safety with a number of features to identify you as a more reliable dating candidate. For an additional fee, you can have a criminal record and/or marital status check done on yourself. They make it clear that both results can be inaccurate depending on the place in which someone lives, but it can make you seem like a safer choice for some folks.

They also encourage virtual dates, which are done by voice or video chat. These services, along with sending and reading emails, or instant messages, are limited to premium memberships. Since both members need to be premium subscribers to communicate, that severely hampers your chances of meeting someone, especially as the site for now is lacking in popularity.

HeavenlyMatched.com definitely pushes safe dating without making claims, or guarantees, about the quality of individuals on the site. However, the importance placed on security, leads me to expect that individuals drawn to Heavenly Matched may have a more serious and sincere approach to dating online.
