IranianPersonals.com uses the tag line, “Connecting Iranians Worldwide.” Targeted dating sites like this seem to do very well in their ability to attract a strong membership base, so we expect it to certainly meet the needs of Iranian singles. Ideally, you should have enough access to the site as a guest to be able to decide whether signing up for a premium membership is worthwhile, but they seem to have made some changes that make it harder to know without already committing to a monthly fee.

At any rate, Iranian Personals asks you to get involved in the profile creation process. They don’t force you to answer every question other than the ones that deal specifically with who you are and a couple of extra essay questions about whom and what you’re looking for in a relationship. Off the top there’s a question on ethnic background where you can specify in as much detail as you see fit. The more information you enter into your profile the higher you’ll appear in search results, so make sure to spend the time and write it right.

One issue that admittedly hampers your ability to experience Iranian Personals fully before upgrading is the lack of localized searches. However, at least now you can see the last time another member was online, which wasn't previously available on free search results. At any rate, you can supposedly search by country and province/state, but my test search somehow returned profiles from all over the world. It did show me some beautiful people, but that doesn't mean all members have such high-quality profiles and pictures.

Another negative change that seems to have occurred on the site is that it's only free to reply to instant messages; although you can read your emails received, you have to upgrade to send a reply by email. That's a serious drawback, not just for someone who wants to try the site out first without paying but also for anyone considering upgrading, since you can't count on every free member deciding to upgrade just to answer your emails. I guess some people might be confident enough to believe that if someone was interested enough to reply then that individual would willingly pay for the privilege.

I'm afraid that I have one final piece of bad news. The price has gone up by about a third of what the original used to be. That makes it quite pricey. On the bright side - and I know this has been a long time coming - the popularity of the site has increased significantly, making Iranian Personals perhaps more appealing to those willing to pay for it.
