The profile creation process is simple at MatchDoctor. It takes eight steps to complete, but you can skip most if you just want to get inside faster. Most members include a decent amount of information about themselves so making an informed decision should be easy. That's especially true, since it's very easy to judge how active the other members in your area are.

You have a multitude of predefined search options based on the checkboxes used to create a new profile. Obviously, not everyone completes all of these, so it doesn’t always prove as useful as ideal. Most importantly, you can narrow your search radius to literally a mile away, which is essentially next door. You can also see the last login information and expand profiles to full size. That means you can see what’s up in your neighborhood, or even in another town, or city to which you plan to visit, or move.

Match Doctor is one of the few sites I've heard of that allows you to send and receive onsite emails without upgrading. Instant messaging on the other hand does require a premium subscription, at least if you want to initiate the conversation. Nevertheless, there are free chat rooms open to everyone, so, there's a good chance to connect live, either way.

Meanwhile, MatchDoctor has added some features since our initial review, including blogs, articles with dating tips, a funny videos section and an online forum. That enhances the feeling of belonging to a dating community where you can look for friendship as well as romance.

If you want to buy a membership, the lowest package is a three-month deal. It works out to $8.99 a month that they take in one payment of $26.97. One good feature about Match Doctor’s billing policy is that it is nonrecurring. If you happen to fall asleep at the wheel and your three-month membership runs its course, you won’t find additional charges on your credit card statement

MatchDoctor.com is a great site for new users and offers more than most without having to pay for a membership. This site is definitely worth a look even if you can’t find enough people to keep you around past those first all-important searches.
