My Foreign Bride sounds as if it might be a mail-order bride service, but it's really just a traditional online dating site. Its focus is on marriage-minded individuals from around the world, and I assumed it might present some challenges. Generally, sites devoted to meeting a bride from abroad provide services that you wouldn't find on a typical dating site like this one. For example, I imagined it wouldn't offer any translation services.

I was wrong. I found a link to an email demo that describes the features available to those who pay for the most expensive membership on MyForiegnBride. It shows the site's built-in translation software. I'm not sure how accurate every translation will be, though. If you've ever used a translator program, you know that it tends to translate word-for-word what's written. Nevertheless, you can still normally get the gist of what's being said.

At any rate, it would prove a considerably cheaper option than is offered in most other places. Foreign bride sites usually charge per translation. I can read a bit of Spanish, so the example in the demo of a message converted into English did seem quite accurate. I'm not sure if in practical use it's as quick and easy as the online demo. However, even if it were only half as fast and simple, it would remain straightforward enough.

Generally, on dating sites, we look for a local search option. It might seem less important to someone looking for a spouse from abroad, but I did figure something out. After you do a broad search by country and region, you can scroll down to the bottom of the results page to narrow things down to a specific city. You can see full profile details and last login date for all members. Advanced options include other details included when completing a free profile.

You can't skip any questions about yourself when setting up a profile, but you can skip details about a potential partner. Only a brief written description of an ideal mate is required. However, the more info supplied, the more accurate the results will be from the site's matchmaking system. You can also add a video to your profile, but only the top-level premium subscribers can view them.

Replying to messages is free, but you must have a paid membership to initiate instant messaging and emails or to participate in chat rooms. You can add videos to messages if you buy the higher-priced subscription. Overall, My Foreign Bride falls just below the middle of the road in the number of visitors it attracts. It seems a great bargain among international marriage sites, though, because you can contact free members with a paid subscription.

Yes there are con ladies there as anywhere. The main thing is that avoid those claiming financial need such as for nursing class or family sickness or it s my birthday this Friday . That s a dead give-away. In spite of two bad experiences like that, including false photos (one sent photos of models instead of the real person), I found my wife-to-be there from the Philippines and she s a gem.

i give it a 75 outa 100 because I ve noticed that if one receives a message, you are prompted to upgrade in order to read it, had thought it was free messages. how does one freely reply to a message that one must pay in order to read? otherwise the site is good, lets you pick the country s you wish to search in.
