One Quickie brings you the most casual kind of online dating. The very popular Internet hook up is indeed its supposed goal. The adult dating market is saturated these days with sites that promise fast, no-strings-attached matches, so how does this site stack up, you might ask? I can tell you that it doesn't offer more than any other site. In fact, that limitation keep it from competing at its best.

I will say this about OneQuickie.com - it is quick to join. You really have to answer very few questions to create your free profile. All the same, this fact is not necessarily a selling point. Anyone who knows anything about dating sites will tell you that the less info required signing up, the less people will voluntarily provide. You can imagine that quite a few members have blank profiles.

Another issue needs to be cleared away. I was contacted almost immediately after signing up. I hadn't given any details about myself. Yet, lo and behold, "someone" tried to contact me. I was notified that I had been "hotlisted" and that someone was interested in me. Then I received an invitation to enter an instant messaging conversation. I would have had to pay to reply. It's a bit fishy.

You can do free local searches. In the US that means you can search by zip code. In other countries, you will need to select a larger region first before a dropdown of possible cities appears. That's great, but it has little benefit in the end. You see, you can't see full profile details without upgrading. You only see system generated profiles that prompt you to pay to see more matchmaking details.

Worse yet, there are no last login details given, even if you are paid subscriber. In other words, there's no way to judge how many active members live in your neighborhood, despite upgrading your membership. At least paying does bring you other benefits, such as chat room access, instant messaging and email. There's the catch again, though - you can't reply to any type of message without paying for the privilege.

That's sort of a deal-breaker in my mind. This site simply isn't popular enough to limit contacts in such a manner. Even more popular sites recognize that when someone pays for a premium subscription, that person expects to be able to reach members at all levels of membership. Asking both people to pay to connect is expecting a bit much, even in the best case scenario. One Quickie needs to work on attracting more visitors by better advertising and more competitive pricing.
